A compassionate individual who genuinely enjoys helping and caring for others, Lauren Swist is gravitating towards a career in nursing.
Even as a child, Lauren Swist loved taking care of people. Whenever someone in her family was sick, she was always there to offer comfort and support. The same can be said for the way she has treated her friends as she grew older. Now with college on the horizon, Lauren plans to pursue a career in nursing, starting with her enrollment in a Nursing Bachelor’s degree program.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
In the coming year, Lauren Swist is set to pursue her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN). This pursuit will well-equip her with the training, skills and knowledge necessary to make her dream of being a nurse come true. On her path to becoming a Registered Nurse (RN), Lauren will start by completing her BSN and then completing her NCLEX-RN licensing examination. This experience will offer her all of the lessons and knowledge necessary in order to enter the workforce as a nurse. Currently, she is unsure of a specific career focus within the larger nursing field. But she is excited to discover more as she continues on her professional path with the pursuit of her BSN.
What is NCLEX-RN?
The National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) is an exam hosted by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN). The exam sets out to test the competency and comprehension of nursing school graduates in North America. It is a requirement for all nurses to complete and therefore, a stepping stone in Lauren Swist’s career as an RN. Although she has yet to complete nursing school, this eager young professional is already researching the NCLEX-RN exam. It is her intention that in doing so, Lauren will be able to embrace her Bachelor’s degree studies with a clear focus on what’s most important.
